What does it take to make the switch?
As always, we start with a high level discovery call to get to know each other. If you believe that our approach makes sense, we’ll arrange a second, more technical call in which we discuss your detailed, technical and business, requirements, your current setup, expected timelines and available budget. At this point we also get to know your team, processes, applications, infrastructure and we get to understand your business. We use this information to prepare a first proposal that we share with you. If you are not fully convinced, you can walk away.
After this the ball is in our court, we will prepare a (free) trial setup of one of your domains, that will connect either directly to your origin or, if this is not possible at this stage, to your current CDN. Usually this takes one, max two weeks to complete. We will monitor both your actual website and our copy to measure the performance of both and compare them. At this point you can test our trial installation any way you want. You can even run part of your production traffic through it if you want. You will have 4 weeks for this trial after which we will do a joint evaluation of the performance, potential improvements, our support and the way we work together. We use the data from the trial period to finetune our proposal. The proposal will be for a fixed price contract over a 1, 2 or 3 year period. This proposal will cover all aspects over our service, support and development included.
If you agree with the proposal (and sign the contract) we will (together) prepare a migration plan for the full scope and execute it. During this phase we will have weekly progress calls. After the go-live, the frequency of these calls will drop to bi-weekly or even monthly. There will not be a big bang event as we prefer a gradual migration with immediate roll-back capabilities. On an ongoing basis we will provide basic availability and performance monitoring, alerting and log analysis.
You will be assigned a dedicated account manager and support engineer and have access to our support desk.
